We are back home after traveling for the past two month's
and driving over 12,000 miles. |

First of all, from this picture you can see that
I am back and still working
out.
I want you all to know that I am just as serious and dedicated to
my Health as I was before I was retired.
My brother and I do a lot of
walking together.

Even though we had difficulty while traveling for the past two month
with meal preparations and exercising, we still managed to set a few
hours aside as often as possible for exercising. We also managed
to eat healthy at least 90% of the time.

Friday Aug 7
Nothing much to say as we are getting back into a normal routine again.
I have been tending to my fence line vegetables. Tearing out
all the old shelving and work benches from an old shed with the hopes of
tearing down the entire eye sore shed and replacing it with a more
modern wooden shop.

We already miss traveling on the road. We spent 4 days in
Vancouver Wa. area before coming back to California to continue working
on the home. We were checking out the real estate with the
thoughts of relocating to that area. California is nice but
is very costly to live here with the tax structure, increased Health
plan costs, vehicle insurance, etc. along with a lot of the new crap
that the state is implementing for their cash cow crisis's.

We did find a town called "Battle Ground, Wa" that we liked. It is
located north of Vancouver. The overall Vancouver area is over
populated along with Portland Oregon being just across the border.
This town is just far enough away so you can enjoy the smaller town
attitude along with having the opportunity to go into the big city to
explore, shop, entertainment, etc.. The area also supports my
Craig's list money making supplemental opportunities. So with that
said we have not exhausted the idea yet. Bottom line I am tired of
living on what I call the island of Puget Sound.
Oh ya sunshine, you Washington lovers better get your vitamin D level
checked on your next physical. Both the wife's and mine were low
and we are slowly bringing it back in line. I know that Group
Health never checked this during any of our normal blood work ups.

Amazing as it is, I started my little garden with cut in half 55 gal
plastic barrels. I set them up on 5 gallon buckets so my gardening
partner could work with them also.
I then went to the local horse farm and got some free manure and mixed
it "special blend" with my bags of magic and voila.
I now actually have starter plants 4 days later that are already
sprouting. They love the stuff I made up along with the water and
sunshine, that they get plenty of. They appear to be unstoppable.
We will have to be patient and see the end results when the veggies
get here.
If you look close you can see my working black composter in the
background.
Also inside each of the 5 gallon buckets is my special blend already
mixed and idea-ling for my next crop.

I planted zucchini, Summer Squash, Beans, cucumbers, onions, radishes,
and acorn squash so far.
If this mix works like I think it is you could be looking at a future
million dollar man. |

Tomato Plants
Note: Fence is 6ft tall
Later note:
I have since cut them way back to start getting more energy to the
tomatoes instead of the plants. These plants actually reached just
over 6 feet tall.
